"The Euromoney Germany Conference was professionally organised and the agenda well-structured, covering all of the most important topics facing companies and banks in the current climate. With so many of the key players in the German financial community attending, it also provides a good opportunity for networking."
Stefan Scholz, Group Treasurer, Continental
Held under the auspices of the Federal Finance Ministry, the Euromoney Germany Conference will reconvene on 25-26 April 2012 at the Hotel Adlon in Berlin for the 8th annual instalment. Attended by over 400 issuers, investors and intermediaries each year, the conference is the premiere place to meet the who’s who of the German capital markets.
At the 2011 conference, the mood was overwhelmingly positive, though not over-confident, as Germany seemed to be weathering the storm around the Eurozone public debt crisis relatively well; the economy was growing strongly, the domestic bond market was stable and corporate Germany was in a healthy financial position in general. Now, as the public debt crisis appears to be spreading even after the second Greek package, when will Germany’s patience run out? Can it continue as the Eurozone’s only economic powerhouse? With banks under increasing funding pressure in a challenging capital-raising environment, what does the future hold for the financial sector? How will German companies cope if banks refuse to lend? How will German banks and savers be affected by any more sovereign restructurings or defaults in the Eurozone? Join us in Berlin next spring to get an update on the latest economic and financial trends and what they mean for your business.
