Description

Exporta Asia is delighted to announce further expansion into the region with the inaugural Malaysia Trade & Export Finance Conference – the only dedicated high-level event for the trade finance community in Malaysia. Building on strong foundations on similar regional events, including Singapore, China, Indonesia and India, the conference will bring together senior business leaders, local and international financial institutions as well as those key players supporting their trade.

With the excitement surrounding many Asian economies, there has never been a more crucial time to utilise these new opportunities and meet with industry specialists to gain invaluable information and network with SME and multinational corporates, private and developmental banks and those market specialists that can mitigate trading risks and create new business lines.

The format of the conference will allow delegates to benefit from insightful keynote addresses, gain valuable information from individual presentations as well as ask questions and engage with panel members during live panel discussions.

Topics to be covered:
• How are global economic events affecting Malaysian trade?
• Assessing demand and capacity for Malaysian trade finance
• What is the exporter’s perspective on the region’s trading environment?
• Analysing regional trade flows and profiling prominent trade hubs
• How can export finance support the Malaysian commodities market?
• Tracking the growth of Islamic trade financing in Malaysia
• Which types of credit insurance and political risk cover are available for which deals?
• How has regulation such as Basel III impacted the appetite for funding Malaysian trade?
• Discussing the evolution of the global transaction banking model: What does it mean to Malaysian corporates and SMEs?
• Tracking Malaysia’s move up the export value chain and its implication for the Malaysian market
• Examining global trade trends for key emerging markets and South-South trade corridors
