For the 18th year, Euromoney’s Bond Investors Congress will provide the backdrop for the biggest gathering of bondholders with more assets under management than any other event.

The bond world has changed beyond all recognition in the last few years. Quantitative easing and other forms of extraordinary monetary policy have transformed the risk/reward equation for bond buyers. The noxious and complex relationship between public and private debt burdens has made it much harder for investors to work out where contingent liabilities lie. The policy response to the crisis – bondholder bail-ins, in particular – has reshaped the way that investors look at a fixed income instrument.
