Biografia	Ms. Szymanski is a Director of the firm and a Portfolio Manager in the firm’s Real Estate Securities Group for diversified strategies in the U.S. and North America. She is also a member of the Global Securities Allocation Committee. Prior to joining AEW, Ms. Szymanski worked at Putnam Investments for over 15 years where she most recently held the title of Senior Analyst. In this role, she managed the REIT sleeve of Putnam's Research Fund and was a member of the Global Equity Research team where she was focused on stock selection and modeling for the REIT sector, Banks, Insurance and Diversified Financials. Ms. Szymanski has held roles as a Portfolio Member of the Small & Mid Cap Value team focused on Financials, Consumer and Industrials as well as a Portfolio Member of the Quantitative Equity Research team. Prior to joining Putnam Investments, Ms. Szymanski held risk management and forensic accounting roles at CIBC World Markets and Matson, Driscoll & Damico Ltd, respectively. Ms. Szymanski earned an Honors Bachelor of Mathematics in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Waterloo and a Master of Science in Finance from Carnegie Mellon University. She is a CFA charterholder, a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society Boston.

Biografia	Mr. Jones is a Director of the firm and a Portfolio Manager in the firm’s Real Estate Securities Group for diversified and income Strategies in the U.S. and North America. He is also a member of the Global Securities Allocation Committee. Mr. Jones joined AEW in 1999 from his position as a Real Estate Equity Analyst at First Union Capital Markets where he was responsible for preparing various financial analyses and earnings projections on real estate companies. Prior to that, he was a Registration Examiner for the Securities Division of the State Corporation Commission (Virginia) where he was responsible for examining broker-dealer, investment advisor and agent/representative registration applications. Mr. Jones is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts. Mr. Jones has earned a Masters in Real Estate from Georgetown University, as well as a Master of Business Administration from the College of William and Mary, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from James Madison University. He is a CFA charterholder, a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society Boston.
Matthew A. Troxell	Managing Director	2004	2018
Biografia	Matthew A. Troxell, CFA, is a Managing Director of AEW and oversees AEW’s securities teams in North America, Europe and Asia. With over 28 years of securities and portfolio management experience, Mr. Troxell serves as the Senior Portfolio Manager responsible for all of AEW’s U.S. and North American real estate equity securities portfolios and also chairs the Global Securities Allocation Committee for all of AEW’s global real estate equity securities portfolios. He is also a member of the firm's Management Committee and Risk Management Committee. Prior to joining AEW as the first member of our securities group in 1994, Mr. Troxell was a Vice President and Assistant to the President of Landmark Land Company where he managed investments, conducted capital markets activities, and performed analyses for a variety of financial and real estate subsidiaries. From 1980 to 1984 he was an Equity Securities Analyst at A.G. Becker Paribas. Mr. Troxell is a graduate of Tufts University (B.A.) and a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
John A. Garofalo	-	2014	2017
Biografia	Mr. Garofalo is joining AEW from his previous position as Portfolio Manager/Chief Investment Officer with Merestone Capital Management. Mr. Garofalo has over 16 years of securities experience, including, most recently, six years as a portfolio manager for a real estate securities fund. Prior to that, he served as an Associate at Wachovia Capital Markets, where his responsibilities included financial modeling and the evaluation of REIT/REOC mergers and acquisitions. He is a graduate of Tufts University (B.A.) and the University of Virginia (M.B.A.), and he holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Biografia	Mr. Ranocha is a Director of AEW and has joined the firm as co-assistant portfolio manager since 2000. Prior to that, he served as associate director of research and portfolio manager with Alliance Capital Management. Prior to joining Alliance, he worked as a real estate securities analyst for Liquidity Financial Group. Mr. Ranocha holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Benson holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and he is a member of both the Boston Security Analysts Society and the Association of Insurance and Financial Analysts.
